Chester Hanvey is a consultant at Lamorinda Consulting LLC where he specializes in statistical analyses and conducting job analyses to study various legal issues. Dr. Hanvey's expertise in statistical analysis includes adverse impact analysis, policy-capturing analysis, damage calculations, and evaluation of other statistical experts' reports. His experience with job analysis includes designing customized methodology, conducting employee observations and creating and administering questionnaires and surveys. Dr. Hanvey also provides deposition testimony regarding job analyses conducted to evaluate wage and hour compliance. In addition to his international teaching experience, Dr. Hanvey has taught undergraduate level courses in psychology and graduate level courses in statistics, research design, and applications and use of statistical software.
Dr. Hanvey earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a minor in Quantitative Methods (Statistics) from the University of Houston and his B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Hanvey's research has focused on statistical analysis techniques, research meethodology design, job analysis, performance appraisal and compensation, and workplace legal issues including EEO law (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA), wage and hour compliance (e.g., FLSA), organizational justice and juror decisions.
