Disability Discrimination
The Americans with Disabilities Act requires employers to identify the essential functions of jobs and develop selection criteria that do not discriminate against disabled job candidates. We have experience applying our job analysis methodology to identify a job’s essential functions and the mental and physical demand requirements for successful job performance.
For one employer, we developed a model for identifying positions that injured workers could perform based on a match between the injured worker’s physical and mental capabilities and the capability requirements of each potential position. We are also experienced in gathering data in response to allegations of discrimination due to disability.
